The Adventure Begins

A dark and cold night invades all of Equestria, with the light of the moon illuminating the towns and cities. In the Kingdom of Canterlot, deep within the Castle, there is a black door with strange runes and symbols on it.

But little by little it begins to crack, giving way to shadowy tentacles followed by a roar that echoes throughout the Kingdom. Then an intense fog covers the entire Kingdom, leaving the citizens without visibility.

Years later.

Streetlights shine their bright light down a single path of pebbles embedded in the ground, creating a beautiful rustic path into the distance. At that moment a figure in a dark gray robe appears walking that same path.

The robe covers most of his body except his head: dark purple scales, moderate harlequin lower jaw, sealed mouth and dark sockets, reflecting the darkness of the night. Behind, he carries a sword longer than himself and very wide.

A Dragon very different from the others.

The path that he follows goes through a forest, he just enters and feels the cool breeze that moves his robe slightly, in that, a Manticore comes out of some bushes, interposing the way of the peculiar Dragon, he only takes a scaly hand out of his robe and grabs the hilt of his sword, he quickly pulls it off his back and cuts off its head, decapitating the beast.

He goes on his way, paying no attention to the beast he has killed, his gaze focused on the road he is walking and nothing more, paying no attention to the crickets chirping towards the crescent moon or the owls whispering among them.

Just keep walking down the headlight-lit forest path to your left. He reaches a point where there is no path anymore and there is a tunnel that goes down to what appears to be a cave, the Dragon doesn't hesitate and jumps into the tunnel, descending at high speed until he reaches the ground, landing on one leg.

From his tunic he takes out an orb that begins to emit a dim light that soon begins to shine brighter, illuminating the path of the purple Dragon, he follows the tunnel ahead of him; but he hears something small move and just a large spider jumps towards him, but he just grabs it and crushes it against the wall.

Look at the corpse of the arachnid and then walk through the cave again, after a few minutes you see the light of the moon and the headlights again at the exit of the cave, this time the path continues along the side of the mountain, with a big cliff on the right side.

Just in that place the mist begins to appear, slowly turning into a dense fog, he keeps the luminous orb and looks in the distance at a town consumed by fog and darkness, but barely illuminated by the lights of the houses and businesses.

The Dragon jumps off the cliff in front of him and lands on one leg, getting up and continuing on his way, but before he even takes a step, he sees to his left a corpse of a Pony with a notebook in his hand, he picks it up and puts it away.

As he continues walking, he finds a rock with embedded gems of various colors, but the ones that predominate are green and red. He takes his sword and begins to beat the rock until it is destroyed, grabbing all the gems.

After that, he turns his attention to the path he is traveling, he does not know why or where he is going at the moment, only one day he heard the voice of someone inside him that said:

"Comes back..."

And he set off, without wondering whose voice it was or where he wanted it to return, since the Dragon can't feel anything, he doesn't have feelings, but he can show if he's confused or something else.

Continuing on the path, the young Dragon meets the path again after passing through the rocky area where he found the mineral, this time he crosses a meadow accompanied by the hiss of the breeze that makes the plants dance and the light of the moon now full that illuminates them like theater light.

He admires the beauty of the place and remains still, contemplating the vast meadow that reaches the distance of the road, after admiring the field for 5 minutes, he returns to what he was doing and resumes his walk. Now he passes through another forest, but this one is illuminated by small fireflies while small animals and insects peek out of the bushes and trees, contemplating the great Dragon that passes through his territory with that sword on his back.

Soon the fireflies begin to disappear, implying that he is about to leave that part of the forest, although the Dragon takes his sword again and quickly turns around just as a Timberwolve attacks him, but he just puts his sword in the middle, slashing through half to the wolf and only leaving sticks and branches all over the ground. As he does so, a pack of Timberwolves surrounds him, baring their fangs and ready to attack.

They all pounce at once, but the Dragon jumps and slashes downward, hurting some of the wolves as they crash into each other, then lands on top of them and smashes their heads, again leaving only sticks and branches.

Before leaving, he searches among the branches and finds a yellow orb, Timberwolve's essence, he saves it and continues along the path, gradually arriving at the distant town, then he arrives at the entrance of said town, where there is a sign welcoming travelers:

"Welcome to Ponyville"

What he doesn't know at the moment is that he's about to go on the ultimate adventure to save an entire kingdom as he meets friends, defeat enemies, meet new places and saves a world from devastation and eternal darkness that expands slowly.

Ponyville

The purple Dragon, after all his journey, arrived at the town he saw in the distance: Ponyville, without further ado, enters the town covered by the darkest night with its resplendent moon.

He does not see many inhabitants around, but those he finds look at him with surprise, others with disinterest and others ignore him, believing that he is just another stranger. He soon finds an old Pony next to a lighthouse.

"One more stranger comes to our doomed village," the old man said upon seeing the Dragon.

"Welcome to Ponyville, traveler, a town once alive and colored now mired in death and faded," he continued as the Dragon listened.

"You can tell you can't talk, so I'll tell you the situation: many ponies have disappeared around these parts, leaving the town forgotten, if you're looking to take a risk, this is the perfect place for you, if not, then go back the way you came," ended.

The Dragon nods and begins to walk through the village, seeing the various houses and shops visible through the curtain of mist that fills the area. Suddenly, a bat-like creature with totally black eyes jumps towards him, draws its sword and cuts him in half, falling dead and releasing a kind of dark cloud from within him.

He pays no attention to him and keeps walking, then she stops when he sees a tree with windows and a door in the middle, he looks up and sees a shadowy figure that disappears after a few seconds. The stranger doesn't care and leaves, soon finding an open shop and going inside.

Inside, he sees that there is a Pegasus with many items behind him such as masks, strange amulets and swords smaller than the Dragon's.

"Hello, traveler. What interests you about the store?" The seller asked when he saw him enter.

The protagonist only limits himself to looking around the store, but an amulet catches his attention: A circular amulet with Nordic runes engraved on its entire circumference and a picture of a carved shield, he points to it and the Pegasus takes it.

"Interested? It's the Protection Magic, every time you find yourself in a critical moment, it activates and creates a magic shield that lasts for about 5 minutes," the vendor explained.

"It costs about 200 gems," he said before receiving the gems the Dragon got earlier.

Then he leaves the store with his amulet that he keeps under his tunic following his tour of the place, it is then that he arrives at one of the limits of the town, where he sees a sign that says: "Entrance to the Brilliant Mine". He doesn't think twice and enters.

First, it goes through a dark tunnel that gradually begins to light up until it reaches a completely open and operational area, illuminated by the reflection of the moon that hits the large minerals. Around him he sees that there are Ponies mining repetitively, as if they were zombies.

Instinctively he draws his sword and approaches one of them and, instantly, the miner turns, revealing those totally dark eyes, then he begins to run towards the Dragon with his beak ready to attack, but he blocks the first blow and then he thrusts into him, causing him to spit up some blood and the same dark cloud comes out from inside him.

Keep going until you find another mound of gems which you destroy, save all the pieces, scale the rocky walls while finding more mounds of gems and encounter carts and magical lasers that release bigger gems.

After his journey through the mine, he finds a tunnel that is illuminated by a dim light from a campfire, he follows the light that becomes more intense the further he goes until he is in a large area with some blankets as a bed, some inscriptions on the walls and someone in front of the campfire.

A Unicorn with a bright amber complexion, vivid crimson hair streaked with bright yellow and moderate cyan eyes. She wears fabrics that cover her entire body and wears necklaces with strange symbols.

"You have found my home, traveler," the girl said, looking directly into the dark sockets of the Dragon.

"I'm Sunset Shimmer, the Fire Shaman and I just needed someone to help me with a problem," she continued.

The Dragon just tilts his head in confusion about the problem, to which Sunset smiles and begins to explain:

"There's a creature on the other side of the tunnel behind me, kill it and I'll reward you with a special spell," she said before raising his hand and making a symbol with fire.

He nods and starts walking towards the other tunnel, where he finds conveyor belts, more magical lasers, and some creatures from the mine. He begins to eliminate all the creatures while skilfully climbing, from one moment to the next he reaches a large open area, where what is a: Gem Golem falls from above.

Then the battle begins, the Golem runs towards it, but the Dragon dodges it and the creature crashes into a wall, which it takes advantage of to attack it from behind and get away. Suddenly, the Golem lets out a roar and raises its left arm from which it fires a dark beam that almost hits the stranger.

After that, he makes a big jump and lands on top of the Dragon, but he quickly steps out of danger and again takes the opportunity to attack, but he wasn't so fast this time and the creature hits him, sending him into the wall behind him and impacting strongly.

He gets up again, but looks at his left arm and sees that the blow was so strong that it opened a crack in his scales, from which a dark crimson liquid flows, he doesn't care and grabs his sword again, dodging and blocking the attacks of the enemy.

Deciding to get this over with, he jumps then swoops down just as he sends an attack at him and plunges his sword into some part of his armored chest, then pulls it back, watching as more of that dark smoke billows everywhere until he explodes.

After witnessing that, he puts his sword away and just walks away, returning to the Fire Shaman to claim his reward for taking on the thing. After a while, he arrives at Sunset's home.

"Thank you for the favor, I know you defeated him, I could feel it. Now your reward," Sunset said.

She gets up and walks towards the Dragon, creates the same symbol with fire in her palm and touches his chest, it is at that moment that the protagonist begins to experience the new spell within him, then a ball of green fire comes out of his chest that resembles his head.

"I have given you the power of the Fire Sling, use it wisely and when you need it," she finished as he sat down to watch the fire.

With that, he leaves the place, taking the path out of the large mine and back to the doomed town of darkness.
