It was Spike’s hatch-day but rather than going out and celebrating with his friends, he decided to stay in his house cause this hatch-day fell on his least favorite day Friday The 13th. While the Drake already has a lot of bad luck, he not gonna risk horrible bad luck by going outside.

To avoid any bad luck inside his house, he also had all his furniture moved to a warehouse yesterday, a day before. Spike also painted his entire house with supposedly magic paint that changes color as of right now it was a redish-pinkish color, finally he made sure to sound-proof his house.

The next thing the dragon heard was a knock at his door, he then slowly walked over to his door and peeked through the peephole to find no creature or hazard that could cause him terrible bad luck. He opened the door to find a large package. He then reached into his pocket and grabbed a bad luck scanner, which he bought a week before Friday The 13th, he scanned the package and found no signs of terrible bad luck.

He quickly pulled the package inside, examined it, the package didn't seem to have a stamp or return address, but there wasn't any signs of terrible bad luck, so Spike concluded that whoever sent this package either doesn't know how to ship items or sent it themselves, shortly after this conclusion he found a tag on it.

"Salutations, Spike the dragon it's your old friend Thorax, you know the reformed changeling war criminal but that's besides the point, my main point is happy hatch-day which this year fell on Friday The 13th, stay safe Spike look out for bad luck." Spike read "No kidding" he muttered

"Oh boy, oh boy oh boy!" he said gleefully as he hopped on top of the package and tore off the first layer revealing the actual present, he then unraveled the large red bow which caused the lid to top off and reveal a few smaller presents. "Which one should I open first?" he closed his eyes and looked away and mixed around the presents a little before grabbing one, which was a pink with a turquoise bow.

He shook it, whatever seem to be inside was either cramped in or big "What in Frostbite's name could possibly be in here" he stated, when he unraveled the bow, a projector mounted on a stand, 2 film reels and a small cylinder popped out. "Home movies! haven't seen a projector used in like forever" he exaggerated, he then placed the film reels on the projector "What is this thing, how do I open it?" Spike asked fiddling with the cylinder only for it to pop open into a projection screen.

He took one of the reels off the projector and looked into the film tape and found a young version of himself with a Popsicle "My journey from the Dragonlands to Ponyville! I thought I lost this home movie!" Spike said remembering when he left the Dragonlands in search of more mild temperatures

"Salutations once again Spike a few months ago before you hatch-day I checked out the crocodile lake, where we first met and found this film reel near the lake, surprised it wasn't destroyed by war or over time, I've been spending the last few months restoring this film and now have fully restored it just in time for you hatch-day." Spike read on a tag attached to the projector.

Flashback

Turns out Spike's bad luck was a thing since Day 1

During the egg hatching ceremony in the Dragonlands, Spike's egg right as it was about to hatch fell out of the crater, rolled past a crowd of dragons down a few stones, fell and drifted down a lava lake went down a lavafall, and stopped on a rock only for said rock to be blasted into the air by a lava geyser and finally ended up balancing on a small rock, apart of a tall pile, the biggest rock being at the bottom and smallest at the top.

The egg hatched and out came a baby Spike, he looked around, taking in his surroundings and then down, once realizing how high he was, he dropped the 2 halves of the egg, closed his eyes and wrapped his arms and legs around 3 small rocks, due to how tightly he was holding onto the rocks they slid off the tall tower, with the baby dragon still holding on.

He opened his eyes and let go of the rocks which seem to slow down his fall, with the extra weight removed, but that didn't the fact that he was currently plummeting to the ground at a high speed. He closed his eyes but the pain never came, when he opened his eyes turns out he had landed in a lava pool, turns out a volcano had sprung a leak and filled up a deep crater with lava.

He got out of the lava pool but as soon as he felt the heat of the lava and overall Dragonlands he started sweating a lot, dragons do normally sweat but never this much the only other reason they would sweat this much would be because they were nervous

Present

Spike placed the film reel back on the projector and then turned it on, and sat right under the projection luckily he wasn't tall enough to cast a shadow on the actual film.

The film started off inside a cave, it zoomed over a few buckets of gem and landed on a, freezer and AC set on cold. It then showed a 2ft Spike, wearing tropical clothing opening the freezer and grabbing a Popsicle coated in crystals, he then walked over to the AC and placed his head on it.

He walked out of the cave seeing how long he could last before sweating again, he ended up lasting 5 seconds, but right as he was about to walk back into his cave when he saw a dragon drop a postcard, he walked over to and picked it up it had a picture of a place called Ponyville Spike thought it looked cool, but besides that he went to return it to the dragon who dropped it only for something too catch his eye.

This postcard had a lot of text on it but the piece of text that caught his eye was the text saying Mild Temperature. Knowing this he packs a suitcase of clothing and a few other things he'll need, puts on mountain climbing shoes and starts climbing up a rocky hill. A group of dragons notice him and wave goodbye.

Spike waves back and continues climbing the rocky hill only for to lose his grip due to his sweaty claw, he bounces around like a pinball before crashing into the group of dragon knocking them away like a set of bowling pins and lands right back in his cave.

The next thing he tried was tying his AC to his back, which allowed him to successfully climb the mountain but when he, turned around to wave back at a group of dragons the weight of the AC caused him to fall over, but instead of bouncing around like a pinball he ended up rolling down the hill and knocking down 2 groups of dragons like bowling pins, he ended up getting stuck in a crack, sweat falling down like a waterfall

2 dragons, a red one and a orange dragoness had to lift him out of that crack, bring him back to his cave, the dragoness had to fix his AC and the red one threw him into a bathtub full of ice cubes.

The next method, strategy, plan etc Spike had was to fly to Ponyville unfortunately he wasn't born with wings or grew them. "Hey Frostbite is there any other way a dragon could grow wings?" he asked the frost dragon, only one of his kind

"Well while most dragons are born with wings, if not they usually grow them naturally or by greed, but since you didn't grow them naturally or by greed, I did hear of this myth where if you attach a ruby to a collar you can gain magic power, although I do feel like that's a misconception" Dragonlord Frostbite explained

"Sure I'll prove or bust that myth" Spike said face lit up and giving the Dragonlord a thumbs up. The drake went to the crystal mines, and thought a ruby might work the best so he spent hours looking for a ruby mining around other crystal and gemstones.

He eventually found one and moved onto the next step which was making the collar, so using a random slab and a hammer he first started by removing most of the slab leaving behind a rectangle, after that he used a saw to shape the slab into a collar, he then created a outline of the ruby on the collar.

He placed the ruby induced collar on his neck but instead of it just falling off a magic red tendril came out of the ruby and wrapped around the dragon's neck, shortly after that he grew to 4ft the size of and average dragon but most importantly, he grew wings.

He had a bit of trouble getting off the ground, but once he did he crashed into a rock, and then another and yet another another, he eventually got the hang of it and manage to fly to the top of the rocky mountain he was trying to climb during his first 2 attempts to leave.

The next thing he tried to do with his wings is stay in one place more specifically flutter his first attempt failed as he ended up sliding down the other side of the hill into a lava puddle. Not wanting to waste anytime trying to get the hang of this, he went back to flying.

He eventually made out of the Dragonlands, he could tell cause there seem to be no more rocks and lava, those 2 elements being replaced by grass, trees and water, during his trip he noticed that grey clouds were starting to form which wasn't normal in his homeland, and next thing he knew it started raining which annoyed him.

He reached into suitcase he on his back, pulled out and opened his umbrella only for it too be struck by lightning and cahc on fire, causing Spike to toss it aside.

The storm must've really messed up him and his trip cause the next day he found himself in a snowy area in the middle of a snowstorm, at first he enjoyed the place cause it was way cooler than his homeland, but then he started to shiver and icicles started forming on his muzzle, he tried creating a fire with his breath only for it to be put out by the piling snow.

Not wanting to freeze to death he flies off again and once far from that frozen area he perches on a tree branch and checks his map and finds out he had gone to far to the north towards and area called the Frozen North. After another exhausting days of flying he eventually found himself flying over a town, he checked the postcard and it matched up.

He was just about to nose dive into Ponyville but is stopped by a cracking noise he looks at the amulet and finds it cracking, turns out that the dragon's excessive use of it for a whole week and the heat of the sun had been wearing down the ruby and now it was about the break.

The winged drake placed his claws on the ruby in hopes of keeping it together a little longer, but as a result it shatters to pieces and Spike loses his wings, but for some reason kept his 4ft height. He started plummeting to the ground, more specifically the middle of Ponyville.

As he was falling he saw a few ponies carrying thins he tried to steer himself towards them to no avail, he closed his eyes hoping that one of the ponies container will break his fall.

A purple unicorn was pulling a hay cart along "Really wish a friend would just fall out of the sky" she half joked, only for something to fall on top of the hay, causing it to go everywhere. Once the hay cleared up she found Spike brushing himself off and even coughing out some hay.

"OH MY GOSH! A DRAGON TO TALK TO!" the unicorn exclaimed excitedly "Hi there i'm Twilight Sparkle, i've never seen a dragon outside of books, can you tell me all about you and your species!" Twilight said really fast shaking Spike's claw which even lifted him off the ground.

"Hi there Twilight i think, I'm Spike i actually just left the Dragonlands to come to a Ponyville, so I stop sweating and live in more mild temperatures" he explained handing Twilight the postcard

"Well you came to right pony!" Twilight exclaimed putting the postcard in her pocket "Come on lets go to my house it has an AC!"

"Can't believe I also forgot how I met Twilight" Spike thought as he ate a bowl of crystal and gemstone bites and the home movie ended only for another one to start.

How about we go over all the different species, creatures, archetypes etc here in Equestria.

The film then cut to a forest panned past a bunch of trees a few of them having animals, and landed on a tent called Pony Photographic Expedition

A pony with a teal mane and tail, wearing a explorer hat and outfit came out of the tent, weirdly enough it was very clear that he was wearing the hat and outfit over a miner outfit, since the rim of the helmet was visible and the headlight jutted out of the hat and the explorer outfit was to small which made parts of his overall stick out.

He adjusted the camera around his neck and started taking pictures of birds, a few animals and the overall beauty of the Everfree Forest.

First is the pony they're the most normal, humble and common creatures in all of Equestria, they're somewhat hard workers which they put some effort into to, they like engaging in recreational activities like baking, reading or in this case photography

The camera pans into the Pony Photographic Expedition tent and stops on a orange dragoness, wearing a construction outfit, vest and helmet working on some kind of complex machine, she also seem to be hoarding a few stack of crystal/gemstones.

Now we have the dragon, while these creatures often paint themselves as tough and greedy once you really get to know them, they like to engage in recreational activities similar to ponies, examples of these activities are tea parties, poetry and in this case engineering.

The camera cuts back to the pony who still taking pictures of the Everfree Forest's, animals and beauty, he then takes a picture of a rock, which is then surround in a pillar of green light and once it disappears it reveals a light blue changeling, with a red shell, which scares off the pony.

Next is the changeling while they're on good terms with the United Nations, the ponies, dragons and hippogriffs they're not apart of it cause they have a fairly small population. While they can turn themselves into inanimate objects like rocks or air pumps, they can't disguise themselves as other creatures cause they don't have enough energy an they if they able to the disguise looks incomplete or weird looking.

The changeling sees something and turns back into the rock, a few seconds later a blue griffon wearing stolen golden armor lands and looks around and is blinded by the pony's camera flash. His blue pupils turn red, he inhales deeply and lets out a massive roar which blows away the pony along with the leaves of many trees and causes a bunch of birds to fly away.

This is the griffon they're greedy and hostile towards other non-griffons, one of the most notable griffons is The Big Ba Griffon, basically a normal griffon 5 times worse.

The golden armor he wears is apparently stolen from Canterlot, and is basically a stolen Equestrian history since Canterlot had Royal Guards, but when Bulletproof came to power he replaced them with soldiers while less protected than guards, they can camouflage which makes them stealthier. He also added a police force to Ponyville.

The camera goes back to the pony who had crashed into a rock and rubbing the back of his head, he puts both his hats back on and spots a female yak eating some grass.

Next is the yak they're a rare species , just like griffons they're hostile towards other non-yaks, but unlike the lionbirds they don't seem to have a kingdom, they're very strong able to easily smash and wreck other things and they're heavy enough to shake the ground and surroundings.

The pony, fascinated by the yak takes a picture of it unfortunately the flash from the camera enrages the cause, she then charges at the pony smashing through a bunch of rocks and trees causing him to run away. The camera then moves away from the pony and yak and lands on a pink hippogriff perching on a branch.

Finally we have the hippogriff, they're apart of the United Nations, and they're leader Seaspray is apart of The Big 3 along with Bulletproof of the ponies and Frostbite of the dragons. Hippogriffs are also able to transform into hippocampus, better known as the seapony.

The pink hippogriff then turns into a seapony and dives into the pond below, she swims around a little, all of a sudden a purple filly, smaller than a filly but bigger than a chip-pony ponies with chipmunk snouts, with a purple and white mane, wearing a propeller hat lands on the seapony's head and dives off it into the pond.

"Oh her a thousand pardons, this is Screwball the clown of the forest, as her name suggest she is a absolute screwball, she's crazy, looney, silly, goofy random and chaotic, she even has her own theme song.

Screwball then jump onto a branch, turns her propeller hat into a top hat, grabs a music sheet only to randmoly screech and rip the sheet in half, she then walks around, up, down and upside down the tree and then teleports around it all while humming her tune.

The filly continues to hum her tune as the film documentary ends and Spike starts laughing and notices that he had completely finished the bowl of crystal/gemstone bites down the the last crumb.
